What counts as an answer?
Each reply your chatbot sends to a customer is one answer, whether it's on your website, Messenger, Instagram or Slack. Testing in the Playground doesn't use answers. You pay for a set number of answers, not per conversation or per lead.

What counts as an answer?
Each reply your chatbot sends to a customer is one answer, on your website, Messenger, Instagram or Slack. Testing in the Playground doesn't use answers. Free includes 100 answers a month and Starter includes 1,000. Answers reset every month on every plan, annual plans too, and unused answers don't roll over.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. It's free forever, not a trial, and you don't need a card. You get 100 answers a month, 1 chatbot and lead capture for up to 20 leads a month. Start on the Free plan, with 100 answers a month, and upgrade when you need more.
How does the free trial work?
Starter, Growth and Business come with a 7-day free trial. You add a card when you start, and you'll see the plan, the price and the date of your first charge before you do. We email you 3 days before the trial ends. If you don't cancel, your plan starts on day 8. Each team gets one free trial.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. During your trial you can switch plans at no charge, and your trial end date stays the same. After the trial, an upgrade takes effect straight away and you pay the difference then. A downgrade also takes effect straight away, and any unused time is credited to your next invoice. Your content is never deleted when you move to a smaller plan.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from your dashboard. There's no contract. On a monthly plan you keep access to the end of the month you've paid for; on an annual plan, to the end of the year.
What happens if a payment fails?
We try the card again, and your chatbot keeps answering for 3 days while you sort it out. After that it pauses until the payment goes through, then starts again straight away. Your customers never see anything about billing.
Do prices include GST?
Yes. Prices in Australian dollars include GST, with no extra added at checkout. Customers outside Australia pay in US dollars. If you're already a customer, you keep the currency and price you signed up on.
Are there any other fees?
No per-conversation fees and no contract. The only extra costs are the optional extras listed on this page, such as more answers or removing "Powered by SmartChatAI", and the one-off set-up if you'd like us to do it for you.
